Today we got a bit of a late start at around 10 and made our way towards a free walking tour. We got a bit sidetracked on the way and were pressed for time so we didn't make the tour but all was well. We got some breakfast and headed towards the London Eye, we didn't actually go on it because the lines and prices were crazy but it was still a cool sight to see. We then back tracked past Parliament and Big Ben and all those cool sights and walked back to Hyde Park. We saw Buckingham palace and changing of the guard! We got some lunch and went to the huge Hyde Park. Inside Hyde Park was a huge lake/river/pond thing called the Serpentine, we booked it all the way down the pond to see the Peter Pan statue! which was a dream come true! Then we went back and saw Wellington Arch, Trafalgars Square and Picadilly Arcade and a bunch of other things. A special thing was the Westminster Cathedral, a beautiful huge cathedral that is beginning to fall apart. We then walked back to Westminster Area, saw Big Ben again and then went to a 5 oclock service at Westminster Abbey. This was a choir service with an all mens choir.
I am running out of minutes any second so for now good bye!
Next time we write we'll be in Paris!

Sorry it took me so long to log on, wish i'd done so sooner. I'd have told you to visit the Royal Mews in London,,,one of the coolest things there...sorry. I know you'll go to Eiffel Tower and Louvre, etc...but please be absolutely CERTAIN to visit the Musee du Orsay (sometimes simply called Orsay) to see the greatest collection of Impressionist (Monet, Manet, Pissarro, Renoir, etc) in the world...it's incredible. Also, after you go to Notre Dame, find the small chapel that's basically across the street (ask someone) that has the most fantastic stained glass windows in all of Paris (you'll be glad you did). Take care and have fun, but be careful on the subway. Paris subway is the most famous in Europe for getting mugged (robbed). Have some coffee on the Left Bank...i hope it's a sunny day.
