Today we got a bit of a late start at around 10 and made our way towards a free walking tour. We got a bit sidetracked on the way and were pressed for time so we didn't make the tour but all was well. We got some breakfast and headed towards the London Eye, we didn't actually go on it because the lines and prices were crazy but it was still a cool sight to see. We then back tracked past Parliament and Big Ben and all those cool sights and walked back to Hyde Park. We saw Buckingham palace and changing of the guard! We got some lunch and went to the huge Hyde Park. Inside Hyde Park was a huge lake/river/pond thing called the Serpentine, we booked it all the way down the pond to see the Peter Pan statue! which was a dream come true! Then we went back and saw Wellington Arch, Trafalgars Square and Picadilly Arcade and a bunch of other things. A special thing was the Westminster Cathedral, a beautiful huge cathedral that is beginning to fall apart. We then walked back to Westminster Area, saw Big Ben again and then went to a 5 oclock service at Westminster Abbey. This was a choir service with an all mens choir.
I am running out of minutes any second so for now good bye!
Next time we write we'll be in Paris!

May 29th-Thursday-London
Yesterday was pretty uneventful, we didn't see much except Fleet Street, we thought about getting tucker's hair cut there but decided against it.
Today we woke up, got some free breakfast at the hostel, and headed towards the Tower of London. Once there, after a fair walk, we bought tickets to get in. We made a very wise choice and waited for about 30 minutes for the next tour with a Yeoman, he was awesome. Very hilarious and interesting, we learned a lot about the Tower, in fact it is not a prison but a palace...its just they have had over 3500 prisoners staying there...one of our favorite quotes from our guide was "Torture is just a way to keep a conversation going" After the Tower we went to the Tower of London Bridge, the one in all the pictures. It was magnificent! Very cool to walk across. Then we headed towards the Globe Theater and Tate Modern, on our way though we passed Southwark Cathedral, gorgeous! We were very happy we decided to go inside, its the oldest Gothic Church in London. After the church we went to the Tate Modern Art museum, saw Monet's Waterlilies and a few Picasso pieces. After that we got dinner at a little italian place and then went to A MIDSUMMER'S NIGHT DREAM! at SHAKESPEARES GLOBE THEATER! This was a highlight! When we got there they only had tickets to stand in the yard or the highest prices, nicest seats. We decided to splurge but it was well worth it! Our seats were outstanding. After that we headed across the sweet Millennium Bridge and back to the hostel, where we are now, surrounded by a lot of very loud kids...
Much Love to All!!

Day One-May 28th-London
Hello,
We arrived in Foggy London this morning at around 10 AM and then ventured through the airport to find our luggage, thank god it was there, we then did a bit fof currency exchange and then found our way to the Underground train. We took that for about 45 minutes or so until we were in Kings Cross Station in Central London, then after a bit of Jane being dumb we made it to the Hostel- Ashlee House. We are in a room with 16 beds, its a bit cramp, but it works. Its about 12:30 noww and we're not totally sure what we're gonna do the rest of the day but it will probably be a short trip to see something. :D I think we're going to call it an early night because of a wee bit of jet lag and tiredness from all the traveling.
Oh and mom (mary) at the Chicago airport all along the halls were giant pictures of people and all their belongings right out of that book we had as kids, with people from all over the world...anyways i thought you'd get a kick out of that.
We miss you already!
